The Green TLC Sunday message

Following on the theme of the sun from our previous post, we decided to look into the role that the sun plays in climate change. We would like to share this great article from a Nasa blog, but if you don't have time to read the whole thing, here are our two takeaways:

1. The Sun powers life on Earth; it helps keep the planet warm enough for us to survive. It also influences Earth’s climate - but the warming we have seen over the past few decades has been too rapid to blame on things happening in orbit, and too large to be caused by solar activity! 2. Warming from increased levels of human-produced greenhouse gases is actually many times stronger than any effects due to recent variations in solar activity!
