The opportunity:
Two young graduates are required: people of faith who are interested and active in issues of social justice and keen to become involved in environmental advocacy, particularly in the Parliamentary space.
These one year part-time volunteer research positions are Cape Town-based, and come with a stipend of up to R3,000 per month.
Background:
SAFCEI is an institute of people of many faiths, united in our diversity through a common commitment to creating sustainable and resilient human communities, who live in balance and harmony with the Earth.
A key focus of our work is our anti-nuclear campaign, in which we encourage public debate and robust, meaningful public participation around energy choices for South Africa. We are calling for democratic and ethical governance against a backdrop of secretive and corrupt deals that promote narrow financial and political interests.

- Youth (preferably under 26);
- Persons embedded in a faith community.
Duties will include the following:
- Desktop research;
- Fieldwork;
