Rural Action for Climate Resilience

The Rural Action for Climate Resilience project is partnering with rural community-based organisations and faith leaders to build social, economic and environmental resilience to climate change.

The project recognises that faith leaders, community-based organisations, and advice offices have an important role – to strengthen the ability of their communities to protect their basic needs, including water and food. Women and young people, in particular, will be provided with support to build their capacity, make decisions and identify strategies in response to the climate crisis. This to date has been done through online regional workshops and seminars, sharing education materials, and assisting with core and micro-grants.

The Rural Action for Climate Resilience project is steered by Social Change Assistance Trust (SCAT), SAFCEI, and Heinrich Böll Foundation (HBF), and co-funded by the European Union.
