Some corporations use linguistic strategies to make the public believe they are cage-free, while others use misleading marketing, which filters their cage-free transparency- making it hard to follow their cage-free progress.

The Humane League (THL) has published an Eggsposé report, an annual publication warning consumers about restaurants and corporations failing to publicly report their progress on sourcing and selling cage-free eggs.
