SAFCEI will be hosting the first workshop of our third cohort of Faith Leader Environmental Advocacy Training (FLEAT Malawi III) in Malawi. FLEAT Malawi III will be a hybrid workshop, offering both in-person attendance at four regional locations in Malawi (Blantyre, Balaka, Lilongwe and Mzuzu) and online participation using Zoom from 13-15 May 2025. We are currently accepting applications.
What to expect in the first workshop:
Selected participants will be expected to attend follow-up workshops. At the follow-up workshop, you will be given an opportunity to share local actions taken after the first workshop.
Applications are open to Faith leaders and Green Champions from Malawi who have not previously attended SAFCEI workshops and training sessions but are actively working in their communities on food, energy, and climate issues and can commit to a series of training workshops.
Everyone who applies will need to attend the entire 3-day workshop.
SAFCEI will provide transportation to the venues, and meals to the selected participants. The venues will be in Blantyre, Lilongwe, Mzuzu and Balaka.
Those attending the workshop will be expected to arrive no later than 8:00 am for registration each day and depart at 3:30 pm. Venue details will be confirmed.
