We invite you to join an important Information webinar to prepare for the public hearings on Koeberg Unit 2’s Long-Term Operation (LTO) Licence Application, on 18 September 2025, from 11:00 to 13:00 (SAST).
This webinar comes at a crucial time as the National Nuclear Regulator (NNR) prepares to hold public hearings on Eskom’s application to extend the life of Koeberg’s Unit 2 by another 20 years. These hearings will focus on health, safety, and environmental concerns, and offer faith leaders, civil society, and members of the public an opportunity to make oral and written submissions.
In this webinar, we will share up-to-date information on the state of Koeberg and explain the health, safety, and environmental implications of extending Unit 2. We will also provide practical guidance on how to prepare and submit comments to the NNR.
